Cole County Marriage License Office

Apply for Cole County Marriage Records
Cole County lets applicants begin a marriage application online, but the license is not complete until the required in-person step is finished at the Recorder's Office. - Use the license within 30 days after issuance anywhere in Missouri, then make sure the officiant returns it to the Recorder within 15 days after the ceremony.

The certified marriage copy request is narrower than the original license application. It asks for enough detail to identify the license and mail certified copies to the requester. A decree is the court order entered in the case file. Public docket activity may appear in Case.net, but sensitive family details, child information, or sealed documents may be restricted by court rule or statute.
For a practical divorce-record request, start with the case number or both spouses' names, then identify whether the needed document is a decree, docket sheet, judgment, or other order. If the record involves custody, child support, protection orders, or sealed filings, the public copy may be limited. The clerk can confirm the request path, but only the court can decide access to restricted documents.
Getting Certified Copies
